
Kildaire Cat 'N Canary Policy Statement
Confirmation Call: We must have a confirmation call two to three days before each departure; please do not depart without it. If your sitter has not called you within two days of your departure, please call. Do not assume that your voice mail or email request confirms availability. Your sitter must speak with you personally before you leave.
Outside Pets: Kildaire Cat 'N Canary does not service cats with access to the outdoors.
Pet Vaccinations: New clients are required to show pet(s) vaccination records at the initial meeting. The client will be responsible for all costs and damages incurred associated with exposure to any disease or ailment received from the client's improperly or non-currently vaccinated animal.
Medications: Kildaire Cat 'N Canary will attempt to administer medications as directed (no injections), but cannot be held responsible for complications that arise as a result. Excessively shy cats with medical problems can be a serious risk. If you have such an animal, this must be thoroughly discussed. Under no circumstances will Kildaire Cat 'N Canary service any feline that has any form of rash or lesion.
Keys: Consider letting Kildaire Cat 'N Canary retain your house key. In the event of your having to leave home quickly, you will be glad you did. If you choose not to, picking up your keys and returning them requires one or two extra trips and there will be a $10.00 charge per trip for time and mileage. Please, check your key prior to giving it to your sitter.
Carpets: Kildaire Cat 'N Canary is not responsible for carpet/flooring stains created by your pet(s). A reasonable attempt to remove stains will be made provided you, the client, leave the proper product(s) to be used.
Inclement Weather: You will entrust Kildaire Cat 'N Canary to use best judgment in caring for your pet(s) and home. We will attempt to carry out your instructions to the best of our abilities in such a situation. However, Kildaire Cat 'N Canary will be held harmless for consequences related to such decisions. There will be other pets to care for, and pet care/safty is our first concern. It is up to you, the client, to have a plan in order not to waste precious time.
Personal Emergency: The client agrees to give Kildaire Cat 'N Canary the name of a person to act in your sitter's place in the event of an accident, illness, or death in the sitter's family. It is urged that the client set up an emergency person with a key to act in such a situation. A neighbor who can walk to your home is a good idea, especially in winter if conditions do not allow vehicular travel. The client will be notified of any change, providing all phone service is operational.
Family/Guests/Workers in Home: If anyone is going to be in or around your home while you are away, it is imperative to let your sitter know. No surprises, please!
Time of Visits: Kildaire Cat 'N Canary reserves the right to change visit times according to conditions and situations. There are no visits after 6:00pm.
Updates: Please keep Kildaire Cat 'N Canary updated with changes of information regarding your pet(s), phone numbers, and security system status.
Payment: Kildaire Cat 'N Canary extends you the courtesy of billing for services. In return, PROMPT payment of fees is required upon receipt of your statement.
